PERIPHONICS ANNOUNCEMENT

In yet another development which demonstrates the close collaboration between the parties, Nortel Networks has outsourced its technical support services for its Periphonics solutions for a fixed period to Planet One.

 With effect from July 1st 2003, Planet One will absorb members of the Periphonics Professional Services and Technical Support Team based in Singapore, and in return, through these same teams, will provide contract services back to Nortel. Services covered under this outsource agreement include professional services for existing and new projects, end user support, additional services such as Periphonics training and technical support to Periphonics channel partners in Asia Pacific are also available, for a fixed period of time.

 In addition, Planet One will deploy the considerable technical resources now at its disposal to support a renewed sales campaign to increase the market dominance of Periphonics in Asia Pacific, especially in the emerging markets of India and The People’s Republic of China. Planet One, through its subsidiaries of 3D Networks, has significant market presence and sales infrastructure in these countries.

The Periphonics team that will be based in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, will consist of a team of 13 highly qualified professional members. This team will operate under the Planet Professional Services Group (PSG), a separate operating entity set up to provide special focus to developing and supporting the Periphonics business in Asia Pacific. Planet PSG is owned by FCS Computer Systems, a subsidiary of Planet One, with a long history and track record in providing Interactive and Self Service Solutions.

 Periphonics is Nortel’s  Self Service Platform for enterprises and service providers, and its portfolio includes Interactive Voice Response, Speech Technology, GUI tools and networks services. Periphonics is a world market leader in this technology space.
