3D Networks Australia launches new Cisco IP Communications business unit

3D Networks, one of Australia’s leading integrators of voice, data and contact centre solutions, has launched a new business unit to deliver solutions based on Cisco’s® market-leading Internet Protocol (IP) Communications (IP telephony and IP contact centre) portfolio.

“3D Networks has a long history in the networking and telecommunications industry in Australia. We have developed the business around voice, data and converged networks, PABX solutions, contact centres and interactive voice response systems,” said Chris Luxford, CEO of 3D Networks Australia. “Our new partnership with Cisco will allow us to bring our in-depth experience to bear on building innovative solutions utilising Cisco’s IP Communications products. We are tremendously excited about the opportunities to delight our customers and grow our business by working with Cisco.”

3D Networks will seek to differentiate itself from other integrators and resellers by using a ‘business process improvement’ approach to voice and contact centre technology investment. Only after the details of the voice application are determined will an IP infrastructure be custom-designed to suit.

“We know that this top-down approach will allow us to build applications that add tremendous value to our customers’ businesses. We certainly don’t believe in selling telephony or contact centres as just an ‘add-on’ to an IP infrastructure sale.  Voice is strategic communications medium that requires a dynamic approach to technology, process and customer information integration,” commented Luxford.

The new Cisco IP Communications business unit in Australia is part of growing, region-wide relationship with Cisco. 3D TGNT, the company’s operation in China, has been building Cisco IP Communications solutions since 2004. 3D Networks in Singapore will shortly launch its Cisco IP Communications offerings, and other countries across Asia Pacific will follow shortly thereafter. “With years of voice applications and call centre experience right across Asia Pacific, 3D Networks has a unique capability to meet the needs of regional and multinational companies wishing to take advantages of the opportunities to deploy next-generation applications and save money with Cisco IP Communications solutions,” said Barry Southern, CEO of 3D Networks Asia Pacific.

The new Cisco IP Communications business unit is the result of

  • 12 months of detailed analysis and planning

  • a nation-wide search for technical and sales staff with extensive experience in Cisco IP Communications solutions

  • 250 days of training for the industry-experienced existing staff members

  • construction of lab and demonstration facilities having a value of nearly $500,000.

3D Networks Australia is a Cisco IP Communications Specialist Partner.
